Uncertainly

Uncertainly is a personal reflection on dating in the twenty-first century: longing, obsession, avoidance, and the clarity of accepting that some relationships are fleeting. I photographed my close friend Klein Sanchez to give these emotions a form through colour, gesture and the trust between photographer and model.

A rose, a netted veil and rippling light create a space that feels intimate yet guarded. Coloured gels and shifting water effects suggest the movement of time and feeling, while changes in angle explore the tension between vulnerability and control.
